I am a member of the Applied Software Engineering research group and a senior member of the SCORE Unit of Excellence, where I lead the research line on Software Engineering.

I conduct applied, tool-oriented software engineering research aimed at improving software quality and developer productivity. My current interests include software testing, AI-driven software engineering, trustworthy AI, and software engineering education. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in completing a Ph.D in any of these (or related) topics. For those beginning their research journey, I recommend reading Ten Golden Rules for High-Impact Research (and Well-being).

I regularly serve on organizing and program committees of top-tier conferences, and as a reviewer for leading software engineering journals. I particularly enjoy collaborating with industry through technical training, industrial PhD supervision, and technology transfer contracts. I hold several professional certifications, including ISTQB CTFL and ISTQB AI Tester.
